Boundaries

Think of a few of your favourite things...you've just created some boundaries. We create boundaries all the time without being aware of it. Whenever you distinguish things or activities (systems) from each other, or from their environments, usually by putting a name to them, you're creating boundaries. Talking, listening, organising a meeting, doing the washing up, Africa, Europe, a wheat field, Forest Common, a town in the countryside, sad and happy emotions. All of these things have boundaries defined by people (who else gives names to things?!).
