Comments:
Pluto is the most distant planet in
the solar system and was discovered as
recently as 1930. While Pluto is usually the
most distant planet, its
eccentric orbit around the sun leads it to be
closer than Neptune for 20
years of its 249 year orbit. Pluto is mainly
comprised of rock mixed with
nitrogen ice, with traces of methane and carbon
monoxide. Pluto has one
moon, Charon.
