Comments:
Situated in Pegasus, this spiral galaxy is very similar to our own Milky Way, and looks how ours would look from 50 million light years away in intergalactic space. It contains about 140 billion stars.

The three smaller galaxies which appear below it in this image are almost certainly vastly further away.
