This spectacular spiral galaxy has an impressive tail featuring massive bright blue star clusters. The tail is 280,000 light years long. One theory behind the generation of this tail is that an intruder galaxy passed close by and its gravitational pull tore away sections of the spiral galaxy. As this galaxy ages, the tail will dissipate and form smaller satellite clusters of stars.
