This is the binary star system 16 Cygni. The brighter of the two, 16 Cygni A, which in this image appears to be the top star, is almost identical to the Sun. More interestingly, the fainter star 16 Cygni B is known to be orbited by a planet.

Since 1995, over 100 stars have been found to host planetary systems, proving that the existence of planets around stars is not unique to our solar system.
