Directions and an interactive map for the Edinburgh audio walk
These directions will guide you along the route of the Edinburgh audio walk. Why not print out this page and take it with you?
The walk takes roughly 1 and a half hours if you're listening to the audio.
The route is on roads and pavements, but the Royal Mile section is quite steep. So the walk is possible for wheelchair users, but may require a bit of muscle.
Start
- Holyrood Park
- Edinburgh
- Scotland
The walk begins on the path, at the point where it crosses the railings around St Margaret’s Well.

Point 5: Netherbow
Cross the road and continue walking up the Royal Mile on the right side of the road until you reach John Knox House.
