A guide to the what's happening in the night sky in March
The following sky notes describe what may be seen in the night sky, soon after sunset at the beginning of March, for an observer situated in the UK.

Between Gemini and the sickle of Leo is the dim constellation of Cancer (the Crab). A faint hazy patch visible to the naked eye is revealed in binoculars as a beautiful open star cluster M44, Praesepe or the “Beehive”.
