orange box Patrick Moore

Patrick Moore's interest in astronomy started at the tender age of 16. While ill, he picked up his mother's copy of "The Story of the Solar System", and a lifelong passion was born. His special interest is the moon. He has written over 60 books on astronomy, and has presented every one of the monthly television programmes "The Sky at Night" since April 1957.
His TV programme has inspired generations of budding astronomers. Patrick's larger than life personality has endeared him to viewers both in the United Kingdom and abroad.

How do you solve the problem of talking science without confusing people? What have been the scientific highlights of your life, ever had a "Eureka" moment?
