JULY
Well, the students are now approaching the last phase of the course. The posters have all been presented and assessed, and hopefully the experience has been both a learning and assessment exercise. The day itself was probably characterised by stress, anxiety and waiting but with luck, the students will all be well motivated to press ahead with the planning of their mini-review. They have had access to all the written and CD ROM course material for a couple of months, and they will be familiar with accessing the electronic journals the OU subscribes to. In addition, instruction has been provided in the form of course material and a video that students were able to view on their poster day. There is nothing now to stop them submitting their outline plans for tutor comments towards the end of August.
