S802 students have now submitted their first TMAs. This included a description of their initial progress on their mini-projects which they will work on throughout the year. The mini-project is their chance to conduct their own research on "the world of science" and "the public" - an opportunity to put their research ideas into practice.

There was a weekend school at Milton Keynes in March and this was a chance for students to meet other students, as well as members of their tutorial group, and to meet the tutors and the course team. I was struck by the positive attitude of students and their enthusiasm and curiosity about "Science and the Public" along with their strong commitment to their studies.
