Lithium, the Universe and Everything

Some stars, those which form the Galactic halo (also known as Population II stars), seem to have the same amount of lithium regardless of their temperatures or compositions. Stars in galactic open clusters (such as the Pleiades and Hyades) have widely varying amounts of lithium, with trends becoming apparent for objects with different temperatures or ages.
