Sykes
Kathy Sykes
is a science communicator working on a variety of projects, including
being a Director of the Cheltenham Festival of Science. Before that
she was Head of Science for Explore@Bristol, a new 'hands-on' science
centre, coming up with ideas for the content of the centre.
Kathy is a
physicist, with a PhD (looking into a biodegradable plastic) from
Bristol University and is still doing some post-doc research there.
She did her first degree there too - then went to teach Maths and
Physics A-level in Zimbabwe for 3 years with VSO.
This is Kathy's
first Rough Science project.
