In The Beginning Was Sound
This year, the Reith Lectures will be delivered by Daniel Barenboim, the musician and conductor.

Amongst his themes will be the effects of muzak on the soul; the fundamental importance of music to our very nature; and the ability of tune and melody to provide a movement away from conflict beyond the imagination of politicians.
