Packet Switching
Packet switching is the method used to send data around the
Internet. It works by breaking data into chunks, each chunk
has an address of where it came from and where it's going.
These chunks are then sent by various routes across the Internet
to the destination machine, which re-assembles them in order.

Plug-in
A piece of software that adds extra functionality to a larger
application programme. The Flash player, Quicktime player
and Real player are all plug-ins for Internet browsers.
Pop-up
A small window that "pops up" on your screen. Pop-ups
on the Internet are usually programmed in javascript and are
often created to be smaller than the normal browser window.
