Geek is a common term for someone who is obsessed by their computer, and has achieved a high level of expertise in their chosen area. You could safely assume that most of the team here at Open2.net are geeks.


Grayscale
A grayscale image is one that only uses shades of grey to describe its content. A grayscale image contains no colour information at all. (*note US spelling)


GIF Graphics Interchange Format
One of the most common file formats for images on the World Wide Web. It is encoded in binary. There are two versions of GIF, 87a and Gif89a, which allows animation in the form of a short sequence of images to be encoded within a single GIF file.
