Working residentially or online, you'll get the chance to develop your practical skills in psychological research, building on the things you'll already have learned in DSE212.
Child Development (ED209)
Using psychological enquiry to help understand young people's development, this course considers the effects of social context on growing children. It considers the extent to which children themselves contribute to their own development, and traces the pattern of progression of children's cognitive and language abilities.
Biological Psychology: Exploring The Brain (SD226)
What do biologists and psychologists understand by the concepts of brain and consciousness? How do we study the brain? What is its structure and composition? What is schizophrenia? Taking human examples, and demonstrating the role of observation and experimentation in increasing our knowledge, this course aims to help you develop understanding of research methods and allows you to carry out an investigation of your own.
