The Invention of Childhood

As part of the Open University/BBC Child of Our Time collaboration, we are launching a new research study for families to take part in. It is based on the themes of the 2006 programmes; happiness, values and relationships.

This study will tell us more about how children’s thinking and attitudes develop in these areas, and also about how parents’ and other adults’ views may influence their children. When you’ve answered the questions, you’ll be able to compare your results with those of other people. We will also be analysing the data in more detail and aiming to publish the findings, both on this site and in academic journals.
