| The
third programme in the Child of our Time series looks
at the development of self-esteem and self-image. The
unfolding of these traits in childhood is believed to
be crucial to successful personal relationships and happiness
in later life.
We have created an interactive study to look at self-image,
and we would like you to take part!
We have developed this questionnaire with John Oates from the Open University FELS department, taken from actual course material from the ED209 Child Development course. Once you complete the questionnaire you'll be given personalised feedback that will reveal the hidden secrets of your own self-esteem and self-image. We'll also build up a nation-wide picture of how self image develops as we age and see if there are gender differences in these patterns. You'll also be able to compare your results to other people who have taken the test. All your responses will be anonymous, and we aim to publish the full results soon.
