Child of Our Time
About the Series

With Child of our Time children now starting school, this landmark series returns to BBC ONE to examine school life; how children perceive the role of their parents; how they use their leisure time; and how many hours they spend in front of a television. The 2005 series of Child of our Time is a three-part 60-minute Open University/BBC co-production beginning on Tuesday, January 4, 9pm, on BBC ONE. There will also be an additional programme made by the BBC to celebrate the fifth year of this twenty year project.

In this series, presenter Professor Robert Winston, explores a wide range of aspects to the children's development. From their awareness of social background, ethnicity, nationality and gender, to their thoughts on the roles of mums and dads.
